Annual Convention is one of the largest STEM gatherings in the country for Black students and professionals. Convention provides an opportunity for NSBE members to grow professionally, academically, and socially. There are general sessions daily, where wonderful speakers and professionals from around the country are presented. A portion of the general sessions is also dedicated to the election of the National Executive Board. There are a variety of skills workshops focused on leadership and professional development, as well as study tables to stay updated on schoolwork throughout the conference. There is a Golden Torch Awards Gala held at every convention to honor those nominated for their dedication, excellence, leadership, and achievements throughout their career. Finally, annual convention hosts an extensive career fair, with over 300 exhibitors (i.e. companies, schools, etc.) looking for NSBE talent! 

 

Along with the professional development aspect of annual convention, it is also provides a great opportunity to grow closer to your NSBE family. Convention provides the forum to meet other members from around the nation while also learning more about members of your immediate chapter.
